We wanted to remind you that parent-teacher conferences are today and tomorrow. Tomorrow (Thursday) is an 11:20 dismissal day due to the conferences. All staff get Friday off this week as compensation for two longer work days. Additionally, we do not have school on Monday, November 11 due to Veteran's Day.

Good Morning, Roxana Junior High School families. This is a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, October 31st will be an 11:20 dismissal at the Junior High for students as it is a scheduled School Improvement Day. Students will be attending the High Schools Play and then will have a House Assembly. Students are also allowed to wear Halloween costumes. Costumes must meet dress code and students are not allowed to cover their faces or have any fake blood. We will be having a costume contest during the assembly. We hope you have a great day!
We have SO many excellent teachers who are making a difference every day with our students and families. Our 6th-grade science teacher, Mrs. Russell, has used a CSI (Crime Scene Investigator) Activity to teach her students how to think like scientists this year. Students are learning to define scientific principles, make observations, perform experiments, form hypotheses, gather and analyze data, form conclusions, and discussion skills with peers. Students have LOVED this fun and engaging unit. Great job, Mrs. Russell!!!
The district is pleased to announce that the Fiscal Year 2025 budget has been posted on the district website (www.roxanaschools.org). This comprehensive document outlines the district's financial plan for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Parents/Guardians,
As you may know, the Homecoming Game has been moved from this Friday night to tomorrow at 6:30. This will also impact the Homecoming Parade and our students who planned on walking with their House. The NEW arrival time for students to walk in the parade is 3:45. If your child cannot go home after school and make it back by 3:45 they can report to the Commons after school and will be supervised until the parade line-up begins, Students are still required to wear their House shirt to participate. All students should be picked up around 5:15 at the front of the Junior High School.

Thank you to those who took the time to complete the Parent Involvement Survey. We were excited to see the number of parents who would like to be more involved in some capacity here at RJHS.
