There is a student council meeting Tuesday, April 15th after school in Mrs. Russell's room.  The meeting will end at 3:30.  If you are a member that can't attend, please see the agenda notes in google classroom to see if there is anything you would like to sign up for to earn your spring semester points.

Mark your calendars:  There will be a Spring Dance on Friday, May 2nd from 6:00-8:00 in the Junior High Gym.  Cost will be $5.  When you pay at the door, you will be given 2 tickets to turn in for 2 free concession stand items.  You will have to purchase any additional concession items that you want.  Doors will not open until 6:00 p.m.  More details will be posted on signs throughout the building soon!

On Thursday, May 15th, we will be hosting a Mini Relay for Life.  This ceremony will be held in our gym, and students will be attending.   The purpose of the ceremony is to show our support for cancer survivors and anyone currently fighting cancer, as well as honoring and remembering those that have passed away from cancer.  Starting Tuesday, April 22nd when we return from Spring Break, you may pick up an invitation or more than one invitation from Mrs. Russell to invite people you know that are survivors or currently battling cancer.  RSVPs must be done by Tuesday, May 13th.  In addition to inviting those that have or are currently fighting cancer, starting Monday, May 5th, you have the opportunity to purchase luminary bags.  Student Council Members will be selling luminary bags May 5th through May 8th, and May 13th and May 14th at 7:30 until classes begin in the morning near the concession stand, and also in the Commons at lunch. Cost of the luminary bags are $5 each.  You may purchase one or more than one.  When you purchase one, it is to honor someone that you know that is either currently fighting cancer, is a cancer survivor, or has passed away and had cancer.  The front of the bag will have the name of the person you are honoring on it and your name as the person that donated it.  The luminary bags will be placed on the gym floor the day of the ceremony.  The lights will be dimmed during our ceremony and each name of the people that have a bag purchased in their honor will be read aloud.  At that time, when the name is read, a glow stick will be placed in the bag.  If you purchase a bag, and would like to bring in a photo of the person you are buying one to honor, a slide show with the photos will be created and viewed during the ceremony.  Your original photo will be scanned and returned to you.  Feel free to email Mrs. Russell with any questions you may have.

The Band will have practice today during 6th & 7th Grade advisory.  8th grade Band members will need to eat lunch during the first lunch and come to Band during their advisory.
