Candle forms are due to Ms. Witt on Sept. 27.
JH students can represent their House in this year’s homecoming parade on Thursday, September 26. Any student who is not already participating in the parade can walk with others in their House as we carry our House flags and hand out candy. You MUST have on your House Shirt to participate. We will gather behind the JH school at 5:15 pm to get ready to walk when the parade begins at 6 pm. Any student who participates will receive 25 points.
On Friday our Junior High cross country team ran with 23 schools at the Granite City Invitational. 8th grader Nova Shaw had a great 2 mile run. She earned a medal, running a 13.53; that's 6 minutes 57 seconds per mile! 7th grader Brady Rahn had the fastest time for our boys, with a time of 15:39 beating his previous 2 mile by 2 minutes and 27 seconds.
Other athletes that got personal records were 7th graders: Olivia Beasley beating her previous time by 2.2 minutes, Elizabeth Vazquez beating her previous best by 1 minute 57 seconds, Aiden Perry beat his best by 1 minute 4 seconds and Anna Grindstaff who beat her previous 2 mile by over 5 minutes! 8th graders earning new personal records were Amos Roy and Conner Price.
