B Day
There will be an informational meeting about Student Council today from 2:45-3:30 in the Auditorium. If you are interested in checking out what Student Council is about, to see if you want to join, please attend that meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please pick up an informational packet from Mrs. Russell sometime today or the rest of this week, no later than Friday, August 30th. Even if you were in Student Council in the past, you will need to attend the meeting this year, or pick up a packet if you can't attend.
There will be a yearbook meeting on Wednesday after school in Ms. Witt's room.
Any junior high girl who is interested in playing girl’s basketball, there will be an open gym this Wednesday from 3:30-5:00 in the junior high gym. Coach Fletcher and Coach Russell understand that you will not be able to make it if softball or cross country conflicts with that time.
Congratulations to the boys baseball team on winning the Battle at the Burg tournament over the weekend.
Congratulations to our RJHS Cross Country Team, we dominated at our meet this Saturday at East Alton-Wood River High School.
Here are the results....In the relay race, each athlete ran 1 mile.
Girls relay race results: 8th Graders: Savannah Cline, Tori Wood and Nova Shaw earned 1st place and close behind was our 6th grade team, Cassidy Gehrs, Ava Dodd and Pika Blas-Miller earning 2nd place.
In the boys relay race: 1st place earned by 8th graders Jordin Akileh Conner Price and 7th grader Brady Rahn and 2nd place was earned by our 6th grade team: Xander Carstens, Cameron Dugan and Easton Dugan.
Girls open mile results: 1st place goes to 5th grader Stormie Chavez
Boys open mile results: Earning 1st place was 6th grader Alan Barreto, 2nd place 7th grader Aiden Perry and 3rd place was earned by 6th grader Kirk Pfaff.
