There will be an informational meeting today during advisory in the Auditorium for any current 6th and 7th grader interested in playing Volleyball next year.
What a great weekend at the IESA State Track Meet in East Peoria. 14 Roxana JH track athletes competed in 9 total events. We brought home medals in 4 events!!!
Jaylin Roach placed 6th High Jump with a new school record of 4'9"
Jamir Cornell placed 5th High Jump
Zane Losch placed 5th Discus
Will Stevens, Easton Johnston, Nick Miles, Leyton Smay placed 4th in the 4x200 meter relay.
Other state bound members included Gianna Stassi who broke a school record for the 1600 coming in 9th overall. Elizabeth Clouse who is a THREE YEAR STATE QUALIFIER in the 100m hurdles, Mason Orick who went out for track this year for the first time in 8th grade and is part of the 4x400 school record crew. Leah Newton who also qualified in high jump in her first year out for track. Wow! What a season. Hope to see all track athletes tomorrow at 6 in the commons to celebrate your accomplishments.
