Today marks the beginning of Black History month. A month in which we honor the black history, culture, and achievements of Black people while acknowledging the progress toward equality that has yet to be made. Today is the perfect time for you to think about your commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Attention Juniors! Mrs. Turley will be hosting an “Introduction to the ACT” session during Connect Wednesday. She will go over the basics of the test formatting, skills covered in each section, and the scoring system. She will also provide some tips and guided practice through some sections. Congratulations to the Roxana Cheerleaders for another great performance at Sectionals on Saturday. The Lady Shells finished 5th in a very tough Sectional in Mascoutah and are on their way to IHSA State on Friday. Top 25 in the State!! Great job. We are very proud of you.
The Roxana Varsity Dance Team is GOING TO IDTA STATE!!! They placed first today in the O’Fallon competition this weekend and received a state qualifying score.
Freshman Samantha Leach was chosen as a Rising Star. Rising Stars are performers with outstanding showmanship, execution, and enthusiasm.

The girls wrestling team competed in the Civic Memorial regional tournament over the weekend. Advancing to the sectional tournament are Madelyn Murphy with a second-place finish, and Chloe Skiles, who was the regional champion at 105 pounds. Congratulations girls!
There will be a softball meeting this week during Connect Wednesday. It will be an option to sign up for the softball meeting.
We will have a meeting regarding National Honor Society induction this afternoon at 215pm. Students who are invited to attend the meeting will receive a pass during 7th hour today.
