Good morning Shells! Today is Monday, January 27, 2025.
Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Today, we remember the 6 million Jews deliberately murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators between 1933 and 1945. It is an event in history that must not be forgotten. During the Holocaust, there were Upstanders who tried to stop the terrible things happening to the Jews. But many people were bystanders and just stood by and watched without doing anything to help. Being an Upstander is not easy but Upstanders can help change the world and make it a better place. Today we challenge you to Take steps towards becoming an Upstander. Speak up when someone says something mean or hurtful. Help those who are bullied and talk to others about being an Upstander.
The Rox Yearbook Staff needs your photos! They are looking for pictures of student life: games, dances, hanging out with friends, etc. There will be a candid contest starting today until January 31st. The top 4 contributors will get a $25 gift card! There are also flyers around the schoo with instructions. Get your pictures in the yearbook!
