Daily Announcements

Good morning Shells! Today is Thursday, October 31st, 2024.  Happy Halloween.

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Today we continue Red Ribbon Week.

Thursday: The Red Ribbon is a symbol that shows a commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America. Today, if you find a red ribbon in the school, make sure to turn it in to Ms. Pointer to claim a treat.

Tomorrow's theme is “I’m RED-y to say no to drugs,” wear all red!

Reminder for Student Council Members: Friday is the final day to turn in both money and the completed form for the Fall Fundraiser. Be sure to get everything submitted to Mrs. Lish on time! Thank you for your effort and dedication to making this a successful event.

Don't forget, we will hold our mock election on Monday, November 4th. You must be registered in order to vote, and registration ends tomorrow.

We now have 173 registered voters. That's approximately 33-percent of our enrollment. Remember, our goal is 67-percent. Just go to your email account, look for an email under Ms. Schrewe's name and take a minute to fill out the form.

For those who are already registered, look at the issues that concern you before you head to the polls on Monday.

The cafe will be closed today.

ROX STARS: The following students and staff received recognition as a ROX STAR recently. If you receive a ROX STAR Nomination, please come to the office this morning to pick up a ticket for a free item from the Cafe:

  • Rilyn Chester

  • Hayden Conn

  • Cecilia Suermann

  • Mr. Scamihorn
