Good morning Shells! Today is Friday, August 23rd, 2024.
Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
We will be offering an opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 23rd at 8am to any student who would like to take it. The cost is $10, and you can sign up and pay in the guidance office. This test is used as a National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, for students who score very high. It can also be used to practice and prepare for taking the SAT. The deadline to sign up and pay is Friday, September 6th. Checks can be made out to Roxana High School.
Keep in mind, due to the new Illinois contract with ACT, we will be giving the ACT, not the SAT, in the spring to all juniors during the school day. We are no longer offering the SAT at RHS. Students wishing to take the SAT have to sign up to take it on a Saturday at a local testing center. Both ACT and SAT can be used for college entrance purposes. For more information, please see Mrs. Garrison or Mrs. Hansen.
Important message from the Roxana Police Department and RHS Administration:
