Good morning Shells! Today is Monday, February 5th, 2024.
Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Let’s start our week with these words from Shonda Rhimes, “Dreams are lovely but they are just dreams, fleeting, ephemeral, pretty. But dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It’s hard work that makes things happen. It’s hard work that creates change.”
The English Department is hosting SAT prep sessions for Juniors starting Wednesday, the 7th, on our Club/Organization Wednesday. Sessions will take place every Wednesday during Advisory (1:40 - 2:40) until the exam on March 21. See Ms. Turley to sign up or if you need more information. Please note that if you are required to stay for the Academic RTI Wednesday sessions, you must attend them and not sign up to attend SAT Prep.
It was a great weekend for Roxana Wrestling. The wrestling team won the Carlyle regional by 115 points on Saturday and advanced 13 wrestlers to the Vandalia sectionals this week. The Shells had six champions, six second-place finishes and a third place finish. Congratulations boys!
The team moves on to the Team Sectional February 20th in Benton.
Shells, this is the last week to vote for faculty superlatives and to add your song to your grade level playlist. Both Google forms are in your inbox. Email Mrs. Schrewe with any questions. Voting ends Friday!
Make it a great day, Shells!
