Good morning Shells! Today is Thursday, February 1st, 2024.
Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
We are excited to kick off the month of February as we embark on a journey to celebrate Black History Month! This annual observance is a time to honor the rich heritage, achievements, and contributions of African Americans who have played pivotal roles in shaping our nation's history.
To honor the occasion, RHS History Club is giving you a daily quote from black leaders, thinkers, and artists, past and present who have left their mark on history, hoping to inspire you because, in the words of Barack Obama “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
The English Department is hosting SAT prep sessions for Juniors starting NEXT Wednesday, the 7th, on our Club/Organization Wednesday. Sessions will take place every Wednesday during Advisory (1:40 - 2:40) until the exam on March 21. See Ms. Turley to sign up or if you need more information. Please note that if you are required to stay for the Academic RTI Wednesday sessions, you must attend them and not sign up to attend SAT Prep.
We will have our Q2 Zero Hero (Nacho Bar) this Friday, Feb. 2nd during 5A and 5B lunch.
Ms. Pointer will distribute tickets Friday morning for you to hand out to our students who earned this honor.
Make it a great day, Shells!
