Good morning Shells! Today is Friday, December 8th.

Please stand for a moment of silence after the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

It’s the last day of Snowcoming Week. A big thank you to Student Council for providing us all with hot chocolate yesterday. Today, Candy Cane Grams will be distributed by your first hour teacher.

There will be a meeting today for all students interested in auditioning for the winter musical, "Beauty and the Beast", right after school today in Mrs. Falloon's room. Audition packets will be handed out at this time. If you are planning to audition but are not able to attend the meeting, please stop by Mrs. Falloon's room on Friday to pick up a packet.

There will be a meeting on December 12th (Tuesday), right after school for those interested in Indoor Track. This meeting will take place in Mr. Scamihorn’s classroom. If you are in a winter sport, this meeting is not for you. This is only for athletes who want to do Indoor Track and are not currently in a winter sport. Reach out to Coach Scamihorn with any questions.

The deadline to join Saturday Scholars is ONE WEEK away on  December 15th.  Please return the student information sheet and money to Ms. Fleming or Miss Pointer.

Boys V & JV bowling beat Granite City in last night's match, Girls V bowling lost to Granite City but had a close match.

Multiple bowlers had career high games last night, they were Mike Wilfong, Clayton Scott, Tucker Hansberger, Kaylee Mohr & Angel Depper.

Including today, we have only four school days before final exams. Make everyday count.

There have been some questions about final exams and what days we are having exams this year. Final exams will be over the course of three days.

  • Thursday, December 14th: Exams for class periods 1, 2, and 3

  • Friday, December 15th: Exams for class periods 4 and 5

  • Monday, December 18th: Exams for class periods 6 and 7

  • Tuesday, December 19th: Exam make-up day. This day is reserved in case we have a snow day during exams or if you miss an exam. Students will only need to attend on Tuesday the 19th if you have missed an exam or if we had a snow day during one of the other three final exam days.

Students, the Zone Room is closed today.

Make it a great day, Shells!
