Daily Announcements

Good morning Shells! Today is Monday, December 4th.

Please stand for a moment of silence after the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Do you want to surprise a friend, crush, or someone special with a Candy Cane and a message? Student Council is selling Candy Grams in the Commons during A & B lunch on Monday and Tuesday. They are 2 for one dollar. The Candy Cane Grams will be delivered on Friday to their first hour class. This is a great way to spread some holiday cheer!

Welcome to Snowcoming Week at RHS.

Our Quarter 1 Zero Heroes Shell-A-Bration will be on Wednesday during 4th and 5th periods in the Shell Cafe and Student Center.

There will be a meeting for all students interested in auditioning for the winter musical, "Beauty and the Beast" on Thursday, December 7th, right after school in Mrs. Falloon's room. Audition packets will be handed out at this time. If you are planning to audition but are not able to attend the meeting, please stop by Mrs. Falloon's room on Friday to pick up a packet.

There have been some questions about final exams and what days we are having exams this year. Final exams will be over the course of three days.

  • Thursday, December 14th: Exams for class periods 1, 2, and 3

  • Friday, December 15th: Exams for class periods 4 and 5

  • Monday, December 18th: Exams for class periods 6 and 7

  • Tuesday, December 19th: Exam make-up day. This day is reserved in case we have a snow day during exams or if you miss an exam. Students will only need to attend on Tuesday if you have missed an exam.

The shells varsity wrestlers began their season this weekend.  The shells went 4-1 on the day, knocking off number 17 ranked Porta 48-30, and number 20 ranked Auburn 52-30.

Our girls wrestled in their first tournament this weekend as well. Madelyn Murphy came home with a 1st place finish.

Students, we will have some restrictions in place. The Math/Science Building will be unlocked at 7:42am and students who arrive early to school are to stay in the Commons. During lunch, you are expected to remain in the Commons or Student Center during the entire lunch period. Students are not allowed to leave the Commons or Student Center and go into the halls or to their lockers. If you are to see a teacher or staff member during lunch, you will need to get a pass ahead of time.

FCA will hold their next meeting this Wednesday, our SIP day, at 7am in the co-lab. Join us for donuts and great discussion!

Make it a great day, Shells!
