2023-24 BACK TO SCHOOL PARENT LETTER
Dear RHS Families,
I hope this letter finds you well, enjoying your summer. We are looking forward to our students returning as final preparations are made for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year at RHS.
The first day of school for students will be Monday, August 21, 2023.
This will be a half-day (7:50 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.)
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
I want to thank everyone for going through our required registration process online this summer. Your time and commitment are greatly appreciated.
If you have not registered for the upcoming school year, there will be a District Registration day for all grade levels on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in the Junior High Gym from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

WHAT’S NEW IN 2023
RHS Revisits Policies & Procedures:
Parents, please review our current policies and procedures with your child regarding student expectations to help ensure a positive start to the upcoming school year:
Lockers: All students have been assigned and are required to use their lockers this year. Backpacks, coats, and any large items are to be stored in the assigned locker. Students should not share their locker with others or give out their locker combination.
Cell Phones: Cell phones must be on silent during school hours (7:50-2:40) everyday. Cell phones are required to be docked in each classroom upon entering class as directed by the teacher. Phones may be used before and after school, during the passing periods, and during the student’s lunch period only.
Our W.R.A.P. Team is Here to Support You:
Our team offers WRAP-around (Wellness, Restoration, Action, Partnerships) support for your family’s physical, mental, and academic well-being. This team is made up of counselors, social workers, parent advocates, and healthcare professionals.

Tuesday, August 1, 2023 | District Registration and Back to School KickOff: Junior High School Gym and Campus 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. |
Wednesday, August 9, 2023 | 9th Grade & New Student Orientation: Springboard to Success 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. All 9th Grade and new students are welcome to attend our in-person Springboard to Success. This program will run from 12:00-3:00 pm and covers important information to help our 9th graders and new students prepare for life at RHS. RHS Student Ambassadors and staff will oversee the program. (9th Grade/New) Parent Meeting: 6:00 p.m. (Auditorium) A Parent Meeting will take place at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium the evening of Thursday, August 12. The purpose of this meeting is to welcome 9th grade & new parents to RHS and review logistics & pertinent information about the start of school. |

Monday, August 21, 2023 | First Day of School for Students! (½ Day: 7:50 - 11:20 a.m.) The 2023-24 school year kicks off on Monday, August 21, 2023. This will be a half-day for students. The RHS school day will begin at 7:50 am and conclude at 11:15 am. Early Bird classes will not meet on this day. |

Wednesday, August 30, 2023 | RHS Open House 6:00 p.m. All RHS families are cordially invited to attend our Open House to meet their child(ren’s) teachers for the upcoming school year. This event will run from 6:00-7:30 pm on the RHS Campus. |
